Hakendover is an old Belgian village known historically for its great procession of the Divine Redeemer, accompanied by horsemen. According to legend it takes place across meadows and sown fields which despite being trampled by the crowd always produce good crops. Hakendover has been an important pilgrimage site since the Middle Ages and the procession still takes place every year on Easter Monday.
