Roland de Lassus (also known as Orlande de Lassus, 1530-94) was a Franco-Flemish composer of the late Renaissance and is considered one of the three most influential musicians in Europe at the end of the 16th century. Amongst other things he composed madrigals, a form of vocal music for two to eight voices.
